On Thurs., Jan. 6th, 2011, the City of Warwick & the Warwick School Department sponsored an anti-cyberbullying informational evening for all parents/guardians.
The evening was very informative & eye-opening!
For those of you who may have missed it, or would like the presentation slides (pls note: there are some great links on those slides to very pertinent videos that are a must-watch for parents - and perhaps even for you to view with your age-appropriate child) - more just below.

Did you know the U.S. Army is as concerned as we are regarding what is shared (willingly & not-so-willingly) on the world wide web?? Below is their powerpoint presentation for our US soldiers regarding security - it shows how the posting of even one innocent photo on a Facebook/social networking page has the potential to reveal the confidential whereabouts of any one of our military units & thus put our soldiers in danger. You have to see it to believe it - it is guaranteed to make you think twice before you allow your child to send photos/post photos online(esp. those taken with a cell phone!) They can be instant doorways for predators to our children!
